Even though p - tau showed the strongest
correlation with cognitive decline, and amyloid - beta only a slight correlation, that doesn't mean that p - tau is committing the crime inside cells all by itself while amyloid loiters in spaces outside of cells in large gangs, creating a distraction.
Also, although this study does show a
correlation (note that it does not prove that one causes the other) between blood type and risk of
cognitive decline, research has demonstrated that there are many other factors that have shown to be associated
with a reduced risk of dementia.
