I did a bit of reading on the subject, and one of the interesting things I learned
was that countries who brought in this type of legislation decades ago
are now
seeing a lower incidence of violent crime that appears to
correspond to the
change in the laws.
«We
're looking at
changes in zircon production on various continents throughout Earth's history and
seeing how the
changes correspond with the various icehouse and greenhouse transitions,» McKenzie said.
As one of the study
's authors, Nicholas W. Papageorge, said in a
corresponding interview, «Many of these kids can't imagine
being an educated person, and perhaps that
's because they've never
seen [a teacher] that actually looks like them... This one teacher can
change a student
's entire future outlook.»
At least, that
's along the explanations I've
seen for why historical
changes in CO2 levels often seem to lag
corresponding temperature
changes.
In other words, it
is only in the last glacial (100 kyr) that we
see any
change in tropical temperature
corresponding to that at the poles.
Looking at the SW curves in more detail (their Fig. 2), one of the most pronounced
changes in their solar - based temperature predictions
is a cooling at the beginning of the record (before 1650), but a
corresponding drop
is not
seen in the temperature curve before 1650.
Dr. Rasmus writes: «Looking at the SW curves in more detail (their Fig. 2), one of the most pronounced

Corresponding changes in sunspot brightness and the strength of molecular absorption lines
were also
seen.
Neither does this hypothesised linear
change - over from 1954 onward
correspond to the bulk of the adjustment actually applied, as
seen in figure 2b above, where the cooling adjustment clearly starts as early as 1920 and has already achieved 2/3 of it
's final extend before 1954.
Although, in the tropics, glacier mass balance responds sensitively to
changes in precipitation and humidity (
see Lemke et al., 2007, Section 4.5.3), the fast glacier shrinkage of Chacaltaya
is consistent with an ascent of the 0 °C isotherm of about 50
m / decade in the tropical Andes since the 1980s (Vuille et al., 2003), resulting in a
corresponding rise in the equilibrium line of glaciers in the region (Coudrain et al., 2005).
The main argument I
see is one you didn't mention explicitly — that past temperature
changes haven't led to
corresponding CO2
changes (unless there
's something badly wrong with CO2 proxies, which I've
seen no convincing evidence for).
The proposed explanation (
see article: Evidence mounts that Maya did themselves in through deforestation) based on a slight
change in albedo after deforestation and a
corresponding decrease in solar energy available for convection does not make sense to us (although as we understand this work has not yet
been published so we could not read it in detail).
If the deep temperature
change is, for example, half that
seen at the surface that could
correspond to the same 8 ppm / K
seen in short term.
In particular, the ability to reconfigure office spaces and reduce the use of paper (supported by a
corresponding investment in technology)
were cited as some of the most likely
changes that current lawyers expect to
see in their future workplaces.
Taking into account the very limited number of cases where an application to set aside has succeeded on «Barder» grounds it remains to
be seen how these proposed
changes will
correspond with existing case law.
This

're seeing across a range of sectors and departments as employees rate career progression as more important than salary.
