On July 29th we get another remake, though I'm not sure if Marvel VS Capcom 2
counts as a remake.

This has that distinct Herzog feel to it and I don't believe there was a better director to
remake F.W. Murnau's silent classic, and there also wasn't anyone who could have portrayed
Count Dracula
as perfectly and terrifyingly
as Klaus Kinski.
Unfortunately, it's not better than «28 Days Later...,» which is close enough to
count as an unofficial
remake.
While some may
count this
as a port, I call it a
remake (call it whatever you like).
As it stands right now, my best of 2014 (so far) list would be dominated by
remakes and remasters... but they don't
count.
The hiatus was only partially alleviated in June 1994 when a Game Boy game titled Donkey Kong was released; while technically a
remake of the original coin - op, it retooled the gameplay and provided an enormous increase in stage
count (from 3 to 100), making it a project in its own right, and it is acclaimed
as one of the best Game Boy games.
Critics of Nintendo often
count remakes or ports like Wind Waker HD, Mario 64 DS and Ocarina 3D
as evidence of Nintendo «not having any new ideas».
Confirmation of the rumored high definition
remake of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess made my day,
as it's my favorite 3D Zelda game of all time — that is, barring the possibility of including Hyrule Warriors and not
counting A Link Between Worlds.
