football manager... so its business as usual really... i still think that to take arsenal to next level requires him to leave... there is still time but if all that happens over next 6 weeks is we bring in a
couple of rushed purchases towards the end
of window i wouldnt be surprised....
How much more embarrassment do we as fans have to put up with before things change, because we've had the heavy defeats home and abroad, the standard
of our
football is declining fast, we don't develop players good enough to take us forward, the
couple of world class players we have won't sign new contracts, we've got mediocre players on big wages and not good enough, the
manager who blames everyone and everything but himself and finally the fans who blindly support a system that's clearly falling apart but are to scared to change.
Our decline has been obvious for at least a
couple of years, so apparently Arsenal is the only club in the PL (maybe in international top
football), where a
manager seems to have his job in spite
of constant underperforming.
So
of course Arsene Wenger has made mistakes, just like every other
manager in every
football league across the planet and I'm sure he will make plenty more before the end
of the season, but I am referring to a
couple of specific and avoidable mistakes that I think may come back to haunt the Frenchman when the dust settles on the Premier League next summer.
and sad truth is we only need a
couple more real quality signings... but seems wenger is already digging his heals in... i think he still believes that diaby is the man for defensive midfield, that arteta can still run the mid field that grioud will finally come good in epl or that sonogo will bully other defences... none
of these assumptions is grounded in reality (that s the problem with having an economist as a
football manager)... and there is no excuse for overpaid professional athletes to be exhausted after a
couple of competitive games..
