Heath and I sat sandwiched between a
couple families with young kids, and not a single detail
of the muggy
night under the bright
lights escaped them.

couple days ago Blizzard posted this video
of a Diablo
night light getting switched on and off.

Years later we would learn that with the help
of a
couple friends, my parents stayed up all
night on Christmas Eve carefully taking everything off the tree and then rehanging it all after the while
lights were replaced with colored ones.
I would love softer
lighting, layers
of drapery, lush carpeting, tuns
of soft pillows, space for a
couple of comfy chairs for reading, vanilla candles, soft cotton quilts and bedding, and my cricket sounds
of a summer
night!
