Getting a pet insurance policy for your young, healthy dog can be quite affordable and even
cover routine things like wellness exams, vaccines, lab work and preventive care.

When my February issue of First
Things arrived, I began my usual
routine of enthusiastically opening the
cover and perusing the pages.
By law today you have to have a health insurance plan, which
covers things like surgeries, emergencies, hospitalizations, and prescription medications, as well as some
routine stuff like a mammogram.
Taking inspiration from Pinterest, I put together these four sheets which
cover topics such as: Food / drink, chores, school subjects, daily
routine, holidays (past and future) then a more creative sheet where students fill their «Happiness Box» (with nouns) and list the
things they would like to learn (using verbs).
My local utility (BGE) has a subsidiary that will add a fee to your monthly power bill and
cover things like
routine inspections, etc..
Are you able to take additional
cover for
routine things like spaying or neutering, parasite prevention and Vaccinations?
They do not
cover non
routine dental
things like extractions.
While wellness coverage, which typically
covers things like vaccines and dental cleanings, is generally not
covered by basic pet insurance policies, there are exceptions where insurers will let you pay more to get some
routine care included on your policy.
Some
things that you might think would be
covered under a standard policy, such as chiropractic care and MRI's, may not be; however, thanks to the the passing of the Affordable Care Act, most
routine preventive services are
covered in full.
