Covered reasons for trip cancellation are broad and include «cancel for work reason», school year extensions, job loss, terrorist attacks at your destination, traffic accidents, hospitalization of destination host, pregnancies occurring after the plan effective date, and more.

During the waiting period, which begins at the effective date of coverage, financial default will not be a covered reason for trip cancellation.

The only plan offered when I purchased airline tickets was apparently Allianz's «budget plan» because the only «covered reasons» to amend trip dates include absolutely outrageous events.
