While the brownie base doesn't product the perfect crackly crust (I didn't obsess over such a thing since it'd just be
covered up anyway), the brownie itself is really quite spectacular, especially considering it's just cocoa,
with no
melted chocolate at all (pretty much every other brownie I've ever made features varying amounts of
melted chocolate in addition to the cocoa.)
Especially since they're super easy to make,
with only 5 minutes spent tossing ingredients like almond butter, oats, almond flour, bananas, honey, and an egg into a blender, mixing it up for around 30 seconds to get things nice and smooth, and then baking for 20 minutes (and topping
with melted chocolate, because everything is better when it's
covered in
chocolate).
Step 5: Put the peanut butter balls one at a time into the

Instead of dealing
with globs of
chocolate stuck to the inside of a bag, I
melt the peanut butter and
chocolate in a large microwave - safe bowl
with a
cover, mix in the cereal, dump in a few generous scoops of powdered sugar, tightly
cover the bowl, and then shake.
After about 10 minutes decorate them
with the
melted chocolate, you can drizzle it or you can completely
cover them
with it, it's entirely up to you!
