I also used buttermilk throughout, skipping on the whole milk and, since I had no chives on hand (and didn't have the courage to fight the mob at Whole Foods), I left them out of the biscuit dough and added a bit more
cracked pepper instead.

Then I use almond meal
instead of flour here, mix it with paprika, minced garlic, sea salt,
cracked pepper, dunk it in an egg and almond milk bath, then twice coat these babies before baking them.
I added some
cracked red
pepper to give it a bit more «bite», then I used mature cheddar cheese slices
instead of the tasteless processed cheese, and for the second can of tomatoes i used just the juice not the actual tomato (this for picky husband who is not a tomato lover).
For my taste it is much better without liquid smoke just add a bunch of
cracks of
pepper instead and its amazing.
