Ps I made an apple and pear crisp tonight and was inspired by
your crackly banana bread to add cracked millet to the topping — super delish!!!!!
I added some ground flax seeds and toasted millet (which I bought specifically to make
your crackly banana bread recipe) and skipped the coconut because my husband is ridiculous.
Why is this banana bread so risen as opposed to
your crackly banana bread?
I wanted to make your new
crackly banana bread, but realized I didn't have millet, so «resorted» to this recipe... for a banana bread fiend, this is amazing.
Hopefully I won't have to wait another two years to try
the crackly banana bread, which I'm totally jazzed about too.

At this point, any
banana bread that IS N'T
crackly is kind of a disappointment.
I added just a smidgen less of the millet, just for the sake of calories (yes, I know... shame on me for making a
banana bread when I'm worried about calories) and it was still plenty
crackly.
I love me some
banana bread, but «
crackly» is... well, it's what my life has been without for so long.
