Summer makes
me crave cold food, so when my husband suggested pizza for dinner the other night, I offered up a much cooler suggestion — dessert pizza!
But it's getting warm now in Australia which means I've started
craving cold foods.
You may notice your body
craves cold foods during the summer months and what better way to beat the summer heat than with a sweet, low - cal summer staple: the grapefruit!

foods now too salad just doesn't feel satisfying in
cold weather I'd love to see more of your warm salad & dressings ideas.
Normally, this alone is enough to get me
craving a hot bowl of soup but, add in the fact that I'm fighting a stubborn
cold that just won't go away, and it's pretty much guaranteed there's going to be some sort of comfort
food happening here and this was exactly what I needed.

I can understand how in really
cold conditions you could be
craving comfort
food.
I don't know if it's the
colder temps or what but I've been
craving heartier more seasoned
foods lately.
The weather started to turn
cold here (already), so I find myself
craving comfort
foods more than ever.
Fried chicken is a quintessential summertime picnic
food, but when the
colder months come around we still
crave the crispy goodness of fried chicken.
It's still
cold out and this weather definitely makes me
crave comfort
food.
As we move into the
coldest months of the year, I always begin
craving fresh, crunchy and flavorful
foods.
All I
crave is soup and comfort
food with this
cold weather and this looks delicious.
It's getting
colder, which means I'm
craving more and more comfort
foods, like macaroni and cheese.
I still want to enjoy the last days of summer, but some days have already been so
cold and rainy, I can't help it to be
craving for some warming comfort
food.
Consequently, it feels like there's not enough water in the world to keep me hydrated and my
cravings lean heavily toward
foods that are
cold and comprised of vegetables and other things with natural water content.
The hint of
cold in the air has me
craving warm
foods.
Summer appetites also differ from
colder weather
cravings — we want less comfort
food, and more fresh, adventurous flavours.
With
colder months upon us, I know that I start
craving more comfort
foods.
It's the
food you
crave on a
cold night or after a long hard week.
As the weather turns
cold here in New York I start to
crave the hearty comfort
foods I grew up on and simple mashed potatoes is at the top of the list of
foods I dream about all day long.
The
food - centered holidays may be over, but it's still
cold and I'm
craving hearty
food.
And with the
colder weather, I've been
craving more comfort
food, like soups.
Spring is in the air, but we have had a recent
cold spell that has left me still
craving warm, hearty winter
foods!
The icy
cold weather has also begun to descend upon Scotland, stimulating my
cravings for carbs and warm, hearty
food.
With the
cold blasts lingering, I'm finding myself
craving comfort
foods.
No wonder, The Loyal Lentil Chili is one of my long time favourites too and what could be more fitting than a hearty bowl of spiced lentils now that it's freezing
cold outside and we all
crave nourishing and delicious comfort
foods.
My comfort
food cravings are high (hey,
cold weather!)
I love when a recipe of mine is fitting into others
food cravings and likings:) And there is just something magical about chocolate in
cold servings, I think you'll love this raw porridge it really brings out the flavour of the chocolate, yum!
After a (theoretical)
cold winter, full of hearty, nutrient - dense
foods like pumpkins, carrots and winter kale, I find myself
craving something... leafier.
It's still
cold enough to make me
crave warm
foods though and one of my favorites to make this time of year is steel cut oatmeal.
In the
cold winter months, I find myself constantly
craving spicy
food.
Because we intuitively gravitate towards
foods that balance the vata element — warm, oilier, heavier
foods — those who are used to the light and
cold breakfast fare of green juices and smoothies might find themselves
craving something more substantial.
I get a
cold after every period am run down,
crave sweet and salty
foods.
My comfort
food cravings are high (hey,
cold weather!)
I find that when I'm visiting
cold places I
crave slightly heavier
foods that warm me up from the inside out and ground me, like root vegetables, spicy curries, soups, legumes and grains like oats and quinoa.
Cold temps and dark days are a recipe for comfort
food cravings.
The vegetarian with a
cold spleen condition may be worried about «mucus - forming»
foods and yet
crave cooling dairy products that worsen the condition because of liver heat or hot spots elsewhere in the system.
There is no snow on the ground, but it's
cold enough that our bodies are
craving those warming
foods.
Gut imbalance can cause itchiness, rashes, dandruff, poor memory, brain fog, acid reflux, indigestion, burning in stomach, cramping, mysterious pains in your abdomen, racing heartbeat after eating, feeling tired after eating, a frazzled demeanor, insomnia, anxiety, toenail fungus, yeast infections, bloodshot eyes, dark circles under your eyes, waking up exhausted, mood swings,
cold sores, dry skin, chapped lips, swollen joints, imbalanced endocrine system, unstable blood sugar levels, Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, seasonal
colds, asthma,
food intolerances, environmental allergies, ADD,
cravings,
food addictions, diarrhea, constipation, and fatigue.
The dog days of summer are here and if you're like me, you're
craving cool
food, ice -
cold drinks and trying to avoid using the oven and stove every night.
We often
crave comfort
foods in the
cold winter months, but try to reduce the serving size of pasta and bread intake and rather fill up on veggies and protein and healthy fats
During spring, I find my body naturally drawn toward detoxifying
foods and fresh greens — probably because spring is the season to detox the liver and because my body is
craving leafy greens after a
cold winter subsisting on mostly frozen veggies since I almost live in the Arctic Circle.
As the
cold of Winter sluggishly makes way for the energy of Spring, our bodies go through a similar process... Yearning to let go of all we've stored for the
colder months, our body
craves foods and practices that will help us detox and freshen up.
Just as the
food gets lighter in the spring and summer, so do the drinks, and thanks to warmer temps, you're probably
craving more hydration now than when it's
cold out.
Around November time I started to cook like 1/2 of my fish intake because my body started to
crave cooked
foods as it was getting
colder.
When it's hot, a crisp salad and ice
cold water sounds so light and refreshing, but in the winter, I
crave hearty
foods.
Cold and windy days are ahead, which has me
craving those classic comfort
foods.
