I thought I was regaling DD with an amusing anecdote about
the crazy life of a blogger, but in retrospect it may have come across as being a little... forward (mind you, he was holding my hand electronically five days later — via text message — while I waited to get my Mirena inserted, so there's been nothing linear about our relationship).

Since I'm a full time social media manager and a part time
blogger, I usually have to spend a good chunk
of my free time getting ahead
of my blog posts (mostly so if things go
crazy with work or
life, there's not too much radio silence on here!)
It's a popular spot, so there were lots
of people around, and I'm sure at least some would have been wondering who was the
crazy chick dancing around in the surf taking photos, but eh...
Life of a
blogger right??!
And every time it does, I think
of how easy it is to miss out on
life because I'm too preoccupied in my thoughts or I'm on my phone shopping a sale like a
crazy person because I'm a
blogger... sometimes I have to remind myself that
life is a beautiful adventure no matter where you travel to or what you do.
Sure, corporate conversation may never scale to the level
of intimacy some
of my
crazier blogger friends hope to
live to see.
