I don't typically wear all black and, this is going to seem weird to say after
my crazy pattern mixing post, sometimes I just want one pattern to stand out.
I've noticed over the past few months that I've gone from
crazy pattern mixing to more solids paired with one pattern.
Not exact matches
Whether it's red thigh high boots,
mix match prints, metallics, bold
patterns or any other
crazy combos, there are less boundaries.
Even though the
pattern mixing followed my rules of big scale (large florals) vs. small (thin stripes) and keeping within a similar color family, I thought the combo was a little
crazy for my typically conservative self.
As one
pattern can be
crazy enough for the eye to register, keeping the
patterns mixed in the same color is beneficial.
I think by the end of the week (this is from last Friday, which you can tell by the fact that I'm wearing jeans), the
mixed -
patterns theme just kind of turned into
crazy mix - matching.
A great way to do
pattern mixing is to do two subtle prints but add in some solids so you don't look too
crazy.
You gonna be wowed to see
mixed pattern outfits that will drive
crazy everyone around.
I double or even triple up on prints,
mix my matches and just go
crazy with
pattern play!
Instead of trying to pull one central color out of two
crazy patterned pieces, going for a monochrome look allows print
mixing with a crisp, clean vibe.
It's full of fabulous colors, bright
patterns,
crazy mix and match with lots of girly elements.
