The nuts give it a little crunch but the pumpkin and
cream cheese flavor definitely will stand on their own!
Not exact matches
As I mentioned when I made the Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Brownies, I
definitely think of
cream cheese or white chocolate as a better companion to the pumpkin
flavor than chocolate (although dark chocolate is also great).
And I
definitely don't remember pumpkin bagels with pumpkin
cream cheese, pumpkin
flavored hot chocolate and spiced pumpkin whipped
cream.
I like more
cheese flavor and less fat so I go with yogurt instead of sour
cream (and
definitely no mayo) as well as the lemon or vinegar, and I usually grate in a (very) small clove of garlic too — somehow the tang plus the garlic gives the bleu something to think about and play off of without the added salt.
