I used my basic smoothie formula to come up with this Double Chocolate Chai Smoothie: 1 cup liquid like
almond milk or
coconut water, greens,
creamy fruit like banana or mango, additional fruits and veggies, a little healthy fat, a little protein, a little fiber, a little stevia, additional nutrient boosters like cacao, maca, goji, acai, etc., and spices and / or flavorings.
In place of sugar and flour, I boiled parsnip cubes with
coconut milk and
almond milk and used an immersion blender to puree the mixture into a sweet and
creamy base.
They are
creamy and delicately spiced, with a date and
almond cocoa crust and a cashew and
coconut filling sweetened with maple syrup and given heft and color from earthy pumpkin purée.
Add bananas, ice, milk, coffee, oats, honey,
almond butter, chopped chocolate covered espresso beans,
coconut oil, and vanilla in a blender and blend until smoothie and
creamy.
I made this tonight with 1 cup
coconut milk, 2 cups full cream milk & 1 cup skim milk & it was EXTREMELY
creamy;) Delicious but I would recommend anyone who doesn't like that marzipan flavour to leave out the
almond - I have essence rather than extract & it's just awful for some reason!
It's easy to make homemade
creamy almond butter with our
almond flour, a couple scoops of nutritious
coconut oil, a food processor.
These are chewy cookies made with
creamy almond butter and
coconut flour, and laced with rich chocolate chunks that simply melt in your mouth.
I prefer using
creamy coconut milk but you'll get a good result with a

Beat together
coconut oil and
almond butter until
