As has been pointed out to you countless
times, science has shown that the biblical myths
of creation and life are not true — they are simply
stories invented to satisfy an ignorant populace.
The order and
timing of the
creation week does not match evolution and the fossil record, a global flood as described is not evident in the geologic record as would be expected, the stopped sun in Joshua's
story would have caused major destruction that would be apparent in archaeology, etc..
I still give praise to the Genesis
creation story as it was «down to earth» for its
time as to how life formed and not altogether out
of date given today's more developed
creation story.
In the case
of the
creation story you must read it as if you were a hunter / gatherer (caveman) who did not have a concept
of time (no watches, no calendars, most likely someone who didn't keep track
of how old he was — think about indigenous peoples who had no contact with western civilization until the 20th century).
At that
time there were many
stories of creation current among the Israelites and their neighbours, relics
of a ruder age.
And, at the same
time, to be fair, what you may perceive as a «Love
Story by God» and take it «literally» others perceive it at best, a book
of fiction, with some good words
of wisdom now and then, to at worst, a book
of an insane deity who demands obedience, among other ridiculous things, and... sent «himself» to die for «us» as we are «broken» and «flawed» / sinful»
creations, and by sending his - self... if... we just «believe» we go to eternal paradise with him.
Old
stories, like the
Creation myth where YHWH speaks
of a «heavenly council» and
of «us» most likely is an artefact
of those
times when the Israelites were polytheistic like everyone else.
>> > and by the way, I have a hard
time with your idea that the
creation story fits well with evolution, there are a number
of things in error even if you take the
story figuratively»
We recognize,
of course, the relatively late emergence in the Old Testament
of a positively and precisely articulated belief in Yahweh's universal
creation, and that it is not, indeed, until the
time of Second Isaiah that such a belief is taken for granted.24 On the other hand, the J
story of creation in Gen. 2 reflects an early if imprecise
creation faith25 while the eighth - century prophets clearly stand upon a thoroughly practical though untheoretical belief in Yahweh's creative function.
Thus I should say that if the
story of Jesus» life had been told just as it seemed — and in a sense was — at the
time it was occurring, that
story would not have been adequately or truly told or that life was a part
of a supremely significant, a divine event, the event through which God, the Creator and the Ruler
of all nature as well as the Lord
of history, was entering into man's life with new redemptive power; but that fact was not grasped clearly, if at all, till the event had reached its culmination in the resurrection, the coming
of the Spirit, and the
creation of the community.
It is in any case a fact that Israel's
creation faith — certainly a basic element
of the structure
of Yahwism from early
times — receives scant specific mention (apart from the J
story of Gen. 2:4 b ff.)
There is no
time given when God brought order back to the chaos that once was earth be it millions or billions
of years before the
story of creation from Moses.
Examples
of these human marks include the fact that the Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek, that the Old Testament world was a world
of temples, priests and sacrifice, that Israel as well as the surrounding nations has prophets that mediated divine will to them, that Israel was ruled by kings, that Israel's legal system shares striking similarities with those
of surrounding nations, that the
creation narrative and the
story of Noah resemble other ancient
stories of the
time, that the writers
of Scripture operated within the paradigm
of ancient cosmology, etc..
This chain
of events caused something
of a stir in the north east where the
story made the Durham
Times and saw the
creation of a Facebook group - Durham University Students for Freedom
of Speech - which has so far gained almost 3,000 members.
Now, cosmologists using CMB maps from the European Space Agency's Planck satellite have pinned down the
timing for one key event in that
story — the end
of the universe's «Dark Ages,» the epoch that lies between the CMB's
creation and the formation
of the first stars.
Nonetheless, he reiterated his belief that the biblical
stories of the world's
creation «are true in the spiritual sense and that they are written by human beings in the language
of the
time.»

«At the same

creation of Sonic Mania - there was talk
of another port, but Iizuka thought fans would desire something new from the old games - this is the first
time Iizuka partnered with a team
of devs spread across various countries - Iizuka said this team had a greater passion to create - this was in comparison to companies that set decisions on a pre-determined schedule (in meetings, etc)- the team had so many features they still wanted to add after the beta version was complete - since there were only a few spots with text that needed to be localized, they could bring the game to more places quicker - the game has Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish support - the Studiopolis stage is included due to receiving the most requests from the Sonic Mania development team - Iizuka actually considered reducing the amount
of stages at one point in order to meet the development schedule - Sonic Mania doesn't really have much in the way
of cut content like scrapped stages - since Sonic Mania was only distributed digitally, the team was able to continue working very close leading up to launch - this let them put in practically all ideas, and there are currently no plans for DLC - Iizuka recommended Flying Battery Zone for inclusion becaues he likes the music - he also likes when the player goes inside and outside the ship - Iizuka likes Mirage Saloon because the stage structure will be different depending on the player character chosen - Puyo Puyo gameplay was added because there was a Puyo Puyo game released in the west for the SEGA Genesis - this game was originally called «Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine», and the team thought it would make a fun boss battle - Iizuka didn't have plans to feature Blue Sphere in the special stages - the Blue Sphere special stages were brought over to Mania as a test, but ended up staying for the final game - the team felt the need to continuously connect stages from various eras, which is doe with the Phantom Ruby
story - for Sonic Mania, it was decided that the technological limit would be set at SEGA CD, - this is higher than the Genesis but lower than Saturn - in creating a SEGA CD - grade special stage, they would intentionally make SEGA CD - grade polygons
