creative disciplines.
But if our most
creative teachers do not seem to be enamored of the testing regime that now dominates the schools, this is something that needs further and systematic exploration, beyond
even excellent ethnographic and journalistic accounts.
It does mean that
teachers should be
creative and incorporate real - life issues into the classroom,
even if those issues are not explicitly discussed in the standards.
With some
creative thinking about the schedule and use of time, the PE
teacher can provide natural learning opportunities that will not arise in
even the most dynamic classrooms.
Creative teachers are not rewarded, (sometimes not
even called
teachers) but rather, marginalized.
