She graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in
Creative Writing, and spent several years working in the restaurant industry before joining the team at McClintock Animal Care
Center.
She holds an MFA in
Creative Writing from the Inland Northwest
Center for Writers in Spokane, Washington.
Sig Gunnarsson studied for an MFA degree in Game Design at the NYU Game

APPOINTMENT Kevin Young a poet and professor of English and
creative writing and a curator of rare books and archives at Emory University, is named director of the Schomburg
Center for Research in Black Culture.
