* REALTOR Magazine calculated the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS ® Cargo Test by dividing
the cubic footage provided by the manufacturer (using the maximum cargo space configuration) by
the cubic footage of a ream of paper (0.11868).
Therefore,
cubic footage is much more indicative of the sense of space than straight square footage.
What's actually just as relevant is
cubic footage which I've seen indicated in several overseas jurisdictions.
Cubic footage also takes into consideration high ceilings, open areas and vaulted ceilings (would be a bonus), as well as extra-low ceilings (would result in a discount).
The spaces expand and contract with the seasons (less
cubic footage to heat in winter) and it is enclosed in a special «Distributed responsive system of skins»:
It takes up the entire
cubic footage capacity of this art museum that started off as an exposition hall for world trade fairs early in the 20th century.
There's a battery cover in the floor, but it doesn't seem to infringe on
the cubic footage.
