This article examines Whitehead's theory of perception to indicate how this theory provides a philosophical reinterpretation for two issues of
concern to feminists: criticism of
cultural symbols, including language, and the importance of intuition and emotion, usually
associated with women, in experience.
The two also became acquainted with novelist Ruth Prawer Jhabvala around this time; Jhabvala would become irrevocably
associated with the two, acting as the screenwriter for all but a handful of their films.The trio's first films were set in India, dramas
concerned with questions of
cultural interplay, personal identity, and physical and emotional isolation.

Although many of her materials may serve as a reminder of the intimate, daily acts that are commonly
associated with women, such as applying make - up, her
concern is simply with the physical merits of matter: its tactile, aesthetic appeal, rather than its
cultural connotations.
Some areas that sex therapy can address are desire discrepancies within a couple, development & deepening of emotional and sexual intimacy, arousal and desire
concerns, difficulties with climax, emerging sexual identities, socio -
cultural factors
associated with sexuality, open relationships, extra-marital affairs & infidelity, diversity of sexual expression, cybersexuality, sexual trauma, abuse & rape, sexual dysfunction such as difficulty establishing or maintaining an erectile and painful sex.
