cultural differences between staff and families as well as among staff members; to use skilled dialogue to create respectful, reciprocal, and responsive relationships among all
parties; and to design services and interventions that are culturally and linguistically appropriate (Barrera & Corso, 2003; Hepburn et al, 2007).
