cultural movements, like Civil Rights,
women's
liberation, anti-war protests, and more.
But with the advent
of the
Women's
Liberation movement on the West Coast, feminist art boldly emerged in the wake
of the second wave
of feminism, addressing the social, political, and
cultural concerns
of womanhood.
