Different
cultures have different ideas about what foods help mothers make milk and those they should stay away from.
Many come from countries whose
culture has different ideas about the role of school.

I think I
have an
idea of where it began and why it grew and how it continues to grow — it's a combination of my origin story, of comparison, of our messed - up
culture, of over-heard comments, of patriarchal bullshit, of feeling
different than the patented ideal, of thought conditioning, of despair, of how we centre women who conform to the ideal, of our fear of getting older, of how the women in my circles spoke about their own bodies and obsessed over calorie counting and wrinkles, of how our
culture speaks about women everywhere from the Internet to sanctuaries to coffee shops to our own inner monologues.
But this does not necessarily mean that the process of reflection upon the God of Jesus, in the light of
different philosophies and within the framework of
different cultures, through which the Christian God, or rather the varying Christian
ideas of God,
have taken shape,
has been a mere waste of time or that we can afford to ignore it.
As we
have seen, process thought not only affirms pluralism, which is reflected in our schools, universities, and colleges no less than in our society, but advocates such an attitude of openness towards individuals, groups,
cultures, and
ideas different from ourselves and our own groups,
cultures,
ideas that the possibility of increased contrast, richness of experience, of mutual transformation, without loss of integrity, is enhanced.
Similar to the Celtic Knot in style, the Triquetra
has been used for several
different purposes in
different cultures, but it's most commonly associated with the
idea of the trinity: Not only are the three sides (representing Father, Son and Holy Spirit) distinctly, they are also interconnected.
I think it's a cool concept this
idea of a third
culture, but in my Colombian - American household we
've taken a kind of
different approach to our dueling cultural backgrounds.

This resource
has been developed in an SEND setting with the aim of giving students an
idea of
different countries and
cultures and comparing them with the UK.
They are founded on a variety of
different ideas,
have different locations,
different student populations, differing state charter laws governing them, and school - specific
cultures that can differ more than the
cultures found in traditional public schools.
I
had no
idea how
different company
cultures can be.
McLaughlin, though unintentionally, also seems to further the
idea that being introduced to a
different language - and by extension its
culture - at a young age produces more open - minded individuals who don't view the «bilingual» as
having an «alien way of thinking» but rather as a person
having a
different opinion or view.
