The first thing you will notice with this
Cumulative Update is it will use the minor version for differentiating between each version as these
builds only contain fixes to the Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview
build already in the Fast and Slow rings.
As with the previous release, this
Cumulative Update continues to use the minor version for differentiating between each version — so this
build will appear as 10586.36.
But while another
build rolls out to the Fast ring today, Microsoft has now released a new
cumulative update for Windows 10 Mobile users.

That's not the case anymore, as Microsoft released a
cumulative update for Windows 10 for PCs today, while Windows 10 Mobile is still on the sour 10586.29
build.
Instead, it said that it's testing servicing the
build with
cumulative updates, as it will have to do for a shipping version of the OS.
Other than the fact that PCs are getting a
cumulative update, the past two Xbox One
builds in the Alpha ring have also been
build 16299, so they're aligning across the board.
What it does represent, however, is the Fall Creators
Update's move to Release To Manufacturing (RTM) status, which marks 16299 as the
build Microsoft will service with
cumulative updates going forward.
Upon its release to the Fast ring, Microsoft indicated it would begin servicing this
build with
Cumulative Updates via Windows
Update.
Assuming there are no catastrophic issues that arise when testing
build 17133, this is the production
build that Microsoft will service with security and
cumulative updates throughout the lifespan of the Spring Creators
Update, just like it has with previous releases of Windows 10.

builds for the Redstone 2 branch.
Of course, there hasn't been a
cumulative update for version 1511 for some time, although it's still possible that Microsoft could release one final
update as part of this month's Patch Tuesday
builds.

cumulative update so that users don't have to download an entire Windows 10

Microsoft today released a
cumulative update for Windows 10 PCs that are running
build 14393 in the Fast ring.
Microsoft is rolling out the September
cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1607 (
build 14393).
The
cumulative update brings the
build number to 14342.1003, and as you would probably guess, there are no new features.
Gabe Aul said today that there's a new
cumulative update for that
build rolling out to both the Fast and Slow rings:
This is a
cumulative update for the current Redstone 1 branch, a jump from
build 14393.576 released in early December for the Production ring.
Windows 10
Build 15063.674 is just a
cumulative update so it contains no new features or major changes, Microsoft has only fixed some bugs.
Two weeks ago, Microsoft rolled out Windows 10 Insider Preview
build 14342 for PCs to the Slow ring, along with a further release that clearly identified itself as a «
Cumulative Update» when being downloaded and installed, but which Microsoft's Brandon Le Blanc later clarified was not a
Cumulative Update.
Moreover, Microsoft will be releasing
cumulative and security
updates for this RTM
build, similar to what it did with
build 16199.15, which was the RTM
build for the Fall Creators
Update.
But with very little time remaining until the
update's release, it's looking increasingly likely that that will be the
build (although the final release may well include some sort of
cumulative update with additional bug fixes, and a 15063.
