Hinge was loose and wobbly out of the box, the thermostat lacks precision (no difference between 3 and 5 settings), the heating element burns the center of the waffle while leaving the outside soggy and undercooked, it overflowed even with less than the 1/4
cup of batter recommended by the recipe, and the waffles invariably stick!

However, if you wanted them to be sweeter and possibly a dessert, I'd
recommend adding 1/2
cup of sugar to the
batter.
I don't
recommend using any more than 1/4
cup of batter per cake, as these are particularly delicate and can be tough to flip if they're too large.
This is simply a white boxed cake mix, I
recommend using 3/4
cup batter for each
of the 6 layers and adding one drop more food coloring to each 3/4
cup batter.
