The fair itself had a newly
curated character, with many stands
dedicated to solo exhibitions and the new «Marker»
section for experimental projects, and the official announcements of new Arab pavilions for the Venice Biennale added to the frisson.

Curator Ruba Katrib (SculptureCenter, New York) will co-advise on the Focus
section dedicated to emerging galleries; and Ralph Rugoff (Hayward Gallery, London) will
curate Frieze Talks for the first time, exploring artists» response to an age of «alternative facts».
Among the art fair's
sections, Frame is
dedicated to emerging galleries, and Focus to «Innovative
curated presentations by the world's most exciting young talents».

dedicated to revealing foundational moments in art history since 1960.
In addition, the Fair will once again support young galleries through its
dedicated section Emerge,

Additionally, on
section of the exhibition will be
dedicated to contemporary artists with particular attention to a selection of recent works made of steel, such as the works by Sergio Fermariello, about whom a catalogue has recently been published by Skira and
curated by Demetrio Paparoni.
Sex - Work is a new
section for Frieze London 2017,
curated by Alison Gingeras, exploring feminist art and radical politics The
section at Frieze London will be
dedicated to women artists working at the extreme edges of feminist practice since the 1960s, and the galleries who supported them, including: Galerie Andrea Caratsch presenting Betty Tompkins; Blum and Poe presenting Penny Slinger; Richard Saltoun presenting Renate Bertlmann; Salon 94 presenting Marilyn Minter; and Hubert Winter presenting Birgit Jürgenssen.
