Copro Gallery is opening two exhibits this month, the first one is titled Roadside Attractions lll a group exhibition curated by art collector and music composer, Cris Velasco, and the other is a solo show of work by Mark Garro, titled Blues of the World.

The show, curated by Olnick and Calabrese, is a tribute to Margherita Stein, a pioneering gallerist and collector whose Christian Stein Gallery — first opened in Turin and then in Milan, where it celebrated its 50th anniversary last year — featured artists associated with the Arte Povera movement.

Only in recent years has the work of «Les Lalanne» achieved iconic status, propelled by the 2009 Christie's Paris sale of Yves Saint Laurent's collection and a major retrospective at Musée des Arts Decoratifs in Paris in 2010, curated by an ardent collector and admirer, Peter Marino.

Bas has participated in a number of important group exhibitions, including «The Collectors,» curated by Elmgreen & Dragset for the Nordic and Danish Pavilions at the 53rd Venice Biennale (2009); Triumph of Painting: Part III, Saatchi Gallery, London, and Ideal Worlds — New Romanticism in Contemporary Art, Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt (both 2005); and the 2004 Whitney Biennale.

Curated by Kate Sutton, this year's theme, Borderline, focuses on the comprehensive changes that European cultural institutions face on a political, social, and cultural level as seen from the perspectives of artists, art historians, international collectors, museum directors, dealers, critics, and curators.

Girls» Club has engaged Miami artist team TM Sisters — sisters Monica and Natasha Lopez de Victoria — to collaborate with the collection of contemporary art by women amassed by Fort Lauderdale collectors Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz, and curate the 2013/2014 exhibition, selecting works which spoke to the mysterious attraction the girls felt to each piece.

Hauser & Wirth created an apartment - style space with wooden floors and dark green and red walls, inspired by the Hampstead home of Sigmund Freud and curated by Mark Wallinger, while at Frieze Masters, on the other side of the park, Helly Nahmad presented an art collector's apartment, a brilliant accumulation of objects, books and furniture which drew a constant crowd.

It is called The Collector, curated by the Helly Nahmad Gallery (London), produced by Anna Pank, and accompanied by an essay from venerated architect Sir Norman Rosenthal.
