curated by the University of Arkansas's Alissa Walls, Ph.D, Assistant Professor of Art History, also features a library
section, which serves as an introduction for those not as familiar with the artist's work, as well as an opportunity for those desiring a deeper level of investigation to study further.
Celebrating 10th anniversary this year, the
section will be
curated by Kiki Mazzucchelli with the proposal The Logic of Materials.
For the seventh edition, expect to find a new layout, a themed
section,
curated by Matthew Higgs of White Columns in New York as homage to Hudson's Feature Inc. gallery which supported pioneering artists in the 1980s and 1990s.
The 2017 programme includes the returning Spotlight
section for rare solo presentations of 20th - century pioneers
curated by Toby Kamps (Blaffer Art Museum, University of Houston) as well as the Collections
section, featuring specialist galleries with extraordinary art and objects, selected
by independent curator Sir Norman Rosenthal.
Alongside the 193 galleries in the main
section, this year the fair boasts a new $ 5,000 prize supported
by Mutina and a new Dialogue
section, which presents tightly
curated booths of no more than three artists.

The exhibition is structured around three thematic
sections conceived and
curated by Germano Celant as a whole — «Leon Golub», «H. C. Westermann» and «Famous Artists from Chicago.
In the middle of the
curated section, Brooklyn's new Jenkins Johnson Gallery takes up two facing walls, with photographs and mixed media work
by Devin N. Morris and wallhanging sculpture
by Kennedy Yanko.
That includes a brand - new performance
section called «Live,» as well as a
curated exhibition
by Matthew Higgs entitled «For Your Infotainment.»
Before you even walk through the rectangular freestanding walls into the
curated section, you'll encounter the photography of The Aesthetics of Matter «s first artist, Christie Neptune, represented
by Rubber Factory.
The Slovak
section Beyond the Art,
curated by Mira Sikorova - Putisova, will present work
by a selection of renowned Slovak artists who predominantly live abroad.
Notably, the big courtyard at the entrance is mostly taken
by Corinna Helenelund's Pony Play (2016), part of the
section curated by Jupiter Woods.
Gioni worked at the 2003 Venice Biennale when Rama was awarded the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement and was the Biennale's artistic director in 2013 when Rama's work was featured alongside that of Paul McCarthy and Robert Gober in a special
