Today Sandler continues to monitor the art of his time as an art - historian - about - town, writing his books, popping up at gallery openings, and even curating the occasional show, as he did at the Cue Art Foundation in 2010 with Robert Storr.

On the lower level, Honfleur Gallery will open its art files to the public in the form of a curated exhibition while upstairs, The Gallery at Vivid Solutions will show photographs from Worn Magazine's archives.

The Mirrors group show, curated by Elise Lammer, is on at Berlin's DUVE, opening March 11 and running April 16.

She will also show new work in the exhibition Till Dust Gathers on Grass, curated by Amanda Schmitt and opening March 6, 2012, at The Old School, NYC.

Strassfield was inspired to curate an exhibition on first generation abstract expressionists after seeing the work of Frank Wimberley, whose solo show also opens today.

A few works on paper that I did in the 1970s are going to be shown for the first time in Four Figures, a group exhibition curated by artist Tom Knechtel at Marc Selwyn Fine Art in Beverly Hills, California, opening Saturday July 12 through August 23.

New York's Jonathan LeVine Gallery just opened two absolutely monumental new shows: a group exhibition curated by Yasha Young entitled Brotherhood, and Australian painter Joel Rea's solo exhibition, Beasts of Arcadia.

Cornelia Parker has curated a wide - ranging group show that opens at the Foundling Museum this month.

Matt Jensen's solo show, There From Here, curated by Ian Cofré, opens at Open Source Gallery in Brooklyn on Wednesday, June 13, with a reception from 7 to 9 pm.

More than 600 shows this year include not only open houses in artists» studios and curated group shows but also performances of all kinds, food and drink, discussion panels, music, and kid - friendly events.

A few weeks back, we were at the special Mana Contemporary Open House in Jersey City, one of the standout exhibitions was the Ysabel Pinyol - curated show, Please Touch: Body Boundaries, featuring works by Takashi Murakami, Ruby Neri, Faith XLVII, Cindy Sherman, Kiki Smith, Swoon and many more.

Copro Gallery is opening two exhibits this month, the first one is titled Roadside Attractions lll a group exhibition curated by art collector and music composer, Cris Velasco, and the other is a solo show of work by Mark Garro, titled Blues of the World.

The show, curated by Olnick and Calabrese, is a tribute to Margherita Stein, a pioneering gallerist and collector whose Christian Stein Gallery — first opened in Turin and then in Milan, where it celebrated its 50th anniversary last year — featured artists associated with the Arte Povera movement.
