We enlisted Andrea Rose to curate the booth, and to highlight Kossoff's talent for transforming some of the most singular images in the Western canon in his own style.

In the main gallery booth we will exhibit a curated group show highlighting a selection of artists from our program, and for the fair's Profile section a solo presentation by Charles Avery will be exhibited.

Curated by the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden's Gianni Jetzer, the Unlimited sector of Art Basel is a platform for large - scale installations and sculptures, projected video works, live performances, and anything else that can't be contained in the art fair booth.

For all the lackluster blue chip staples on the floor, I also saw an impressive amount of well - curated project booths that smartly positioned emerging artists and galleries in dialogue with the establishment.

LH: I appreciate booths that are carefully curated and maintain the integrity of the artists, as if it was a museum show, opposed to booths that have only commercial aims in mind and try to hang as many paintings together which have nothing to do with one another just for the purpose of sales.

Bypassing a traditional Art Fair structure with gallery booths that showcase represented artists, Jogja exhibits the work of artists directly in a well - curated show that continues for a good summer - while — from June 7 - 22, 2014.

Another potential candidate for the best - curated booth, the galley, which specializes in postwar Japanese art, brought together paintings by the Japanese avant - garde Gutai group including artists Toshio Yoshida, Kazuo Shiraga — famous for painting with his feet — and works on paper by Shiraga's wife Fujiko Shiraga.

For the first edition of UNTITLED art fair in San Francisco narrative projects joins forces with Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery and presents curated booth with new works by Harm van den Dorpel (b. 1981), Jeremy Everett (b. 1979), Carlos Noronha Feio (b. 1981) and Martine Poppe (b. 1988).

Renowned for its focus on research and experimentation, Artissima 2015 hosts: 207 selected galleries from 31 countries, 3 curated sections, including 20 Present Future solo shows by emerging artists, 25 Back to the Future booths dedicated to the rediscovery of the decade» 75 --» 85, and 12 surprising live actions in the Per4m section.

Presenting 100 galleries, not - for - profits, and artist - run spaces from 50 cities across four continents, the ninth edition of the fair also features a 30 - foot video wall with rotating single - channel works, a special exhibition about the body as site tension and provocation curated by rising art - star Derrick Adams, live interviews with artists and curators at the project booth for Clocktower Radio, design projects in collaboration with Architectural Digest and tasty treats from local foodie partners Er Baretto, Littleneck, and Everyman Espresso.

This multi-room booth, which joins the London - based programs of Alison Jacques and Stuart Shave, stands out for its tightly curated arrangements of artworks.

A: You're curating the exhibition for the Belgian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, and one of the artists featured, Sammy Baloji, is presenting a Solo booth at Art Brussels; how important do you feel it is to involve new artists with larger projects?

He was selected for a solo booth in the 2012 inaugural edition of UNTITLED: Miami, curated by Omar Lopez - Chahoud.

These trends — in particular, the meticulous curating of stands (complete, in some cases, with not - for - sale loan work), and the proliferation of solo - artists booths — are becoming more common right across the art fair spectrum, but from its inception in 2012 Frieze Masters has been host to some of the more elaborate.

As for what's changed in Miami over the last 10 years, «There is more competition now and I think people are being more selective, which requires us to be more selective,» and added, «We are definitely continuing that same curated approach and over half the fair will contain focused booths of three artists or less.»

The fair, which will take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center December 3 through 6, is separated into several sectors including Kabinett, a space for galleries to present additional curated exhibitions alongside their regular booth presentations.

For the Frieze Projects section curated by Cecilia Alemani, John Ahearn will reprise his legendary 1979 exhibition «South Bronx Hall of Fame» in a fair booth, and fair visitors will have the chance to be cast in plaster by the artist (email: johnahearnportrait [at] frieze.com).

Booths for galleries participating in «Kabinett» will feature artist - curated spaces.

In 2012, under the auspices of Gallery Thomas Jaeckel, Hughes was selected for a solo booth in the inaugural edition of UNTITLED: Miami, curated by Omar Lopez - Chahoud.

Art Basel has announced the projects for the first Hong Kong edition of its popular Kabinett sector which offers galleries the opportunity to present carefully curated exhibitions within the booths.
