An exhibition catalogue will be published, including a text by the British physicist and cosmologist Roger Penrose and a text by Maaretta Jaukkuri, Chief Curator at KIASMA Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki.

The book, edited by Trevor Schoonmaker, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Nasher, brilliantly presents a masterful look at the figurative painting, a selection of which can be seen in the next iteration of Soul of a Nation, which opened earlier this month at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, as well as in the exhibition catalogue, available from the Tate, which features Hendricks» painting «What's Going On» (1974) on the cover.

Sarah Robayo Sheridan is curator of exhibitions at The Power Plant, Canada's leading noncollecting contemporary art gallery in her hometown of Toronto.

She also maintains a position as Assistant Curator at BRIC Contemporary Art a program of BRIC Arts Media Bklyn, and at BRIC Rotunda Gallery she has curated a number of public programs and exhibitions.

Organized by Tumelo Mosaka (Curator of Contemporary Art at the Krannert Art Museum), University of Illinois, this exhibition focuses on the various ways artists from around the world respond to issues about identity particularly those defined by race and ethnicity.

Early exhibitions include curator Paul Schimmel's seminal 1992 exhibition Helter Skelter at the MOCA / Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles and the 1993 Biennale di Venezia / Venice Biennale.

David Joselit worked as a curator at The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston from 1983 to 1989 where he co-organized several exhibitions including «Dissent: The Issue of Modern Art in Boston,» «Endgame: Reference and Simulation in Recent Painting and Sculpture,» and «The British Edge.»
