current vaccination records, Pets of the Homeless will need to speak with the shelter manager and the homeless person to arrange an appointment at the closest clinic / hospital.
Minimally, some states may require proof of
current vaccinations and some forms of health
records on an animal, so it might be easier to simply obtain a CVI from your veterinarian
if you travel a great deal with your four - legged friend.
If a License Inspector or Animal Control Officer visits your residence, please be prepared by having your
current pet license,
vaccination records, and spay / neuter certificate available to show in order to avoid a possible citation.
If you currently or have previously owned a pet, you must provide vet
records showing that your pet is
current on
vaccinations and / or the name and telephone number of your
current or previous veterinarian as a vet reference.
Please note: a distemper
vaccination is required, please bring
records if current.
