This recipe is my version of the roasted Sri Lankan
curry powder made by my friend's girlfriend, Shem.

made and I probably didn't have to do that.

makes a variation on this soup in which she slowly sautes tons of onions with

Just
made this, had to create my own
curry powder because I had a scant of some in a spice botttle.

curry powder.
I
made a hot / fragrant
curry powder mix which was great; I have been very excited since I realized that the mincing attachment for the immersion blender grinds spices better than the coffee mill.
Milk
powder is added to
make the Koftas which gives a rich taste to the
curry, but you can avoid it and will not find a much difference (I did not find so).
I
make a delicious hummus with pickled red bell peppers added to the chick peas & tahini, but it works for me because I neutralize the sweetness with good

Make your own
curry powder, or buy an imported
powder from India for the best results because American
curry powders are inferior.

made this quick weekend lunch by softening a bit of chopped yellow onion in a dab of coconut oil, then adding garlic, ginger, and
