Regarding design, the Xiaomi Redmi 5A offers a
plastic unibody design and
curves which gives a premium metallic feel to it while Micromax's latest Bharat 5 comes with an all
plastic back with big bezels resembling its predecessors the Bharat 3 and 4.
That
curved glass will be familiar to owners of Nokia Lumia devices, and the inset lines of
plastic on the
back are reminiscent of the HTC One.
The front has the 5.0 - inch display with a speaker grille and 8.0 - megapixel camera above it, and the
back is all
plastic white (perhaps inspiring the Samsung comparison) and
curves gently outwards, bearing the 13.0 - megapixel camera with flash (which has been moved to the centre of the top, unlike in the Mi 3 where it was towards the left of the top).
But the
curved back of the phone makes it really comfortable to hold, and while
plastic it does boast a brushed texture.
The phone takes the design of its predecessor, the Honor 8, and adds subtle refinements like a
curved glass
back panel, and cleaner joins between the metal and glass — no more
plastic rim around the metal side walls.
Unlike previous iterations of this flagship line though, Meizu has gone from using a metal frame and
plastic backing to a full metal unibody design that
curves around the sides to meet the large display up front, allowing for the premium feel that is expected from a current generation flagship.

The Huawei Blaze feels pretty nice in the hand, with its grippy
back and
curved, slimline body lifting it above the bulky
plastic competition.

curves slightly into a metal rim via a small but noticeable seam.
As you'd expect, even with
curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and durable matte
plastic around the
back, the Liquid Jade S still feels a lot less premium than metal / glass flagships such as the HTC One M9, Samsung Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6.
It's easier to hold in the hand, has a slimmer build and the slightly
curved display looks pretty cool - although I'd recommend you opt for the leather
back option over the cheap feeling
plastic offering.

The iPhone 6 has
curved edges that the front glass rolls beautifully into, but it's certainly more slippery to handle than the Galaxy Alpha with its metal
back, versus
plastic with a slight texture to it.
The
curved back makes it much easier to hold, and doesn't come with that
plastic backing.

plastic on the top and bottom definitely take away from the experience.
