As a size 14 myself, I'd say go with a trouser -

dark wash (Talbot's does a great one)-- it's a flattering
cut that gives the impression of a dressier look.
I can't remember if the color was originally
darker & faded over time or if this was just the cool
wash in 2002... But I love the
cut and fit of Gap jean jackets, so I definitely recommend getting a new one or searching for a vintage one on eBay / in a thrift store.
