One of its
cutting - edge studies is the measuring of
food loss and waste at all stages — from
production and post-
production to processing, distribution and consumption — in order to identify the origin and cost of
food waste and loss at the local, regional and
global level.
Among them is Target 12.3, which calls for
cutting in half per capita
global food waste at retail and consumer levels and for reducing
food losses along
production and supply chains by 2030.
