I followed the recipe exactly, aside from the fact that I used dairy - free alternatives (earth balance butter (use less), and
daiya cream cheese), as well as a flax egg instead of a real egg, and they turned out great!

Daiya.
For the filling, I mix 580g
Daiya plain
cream cheese with 60g vanilla vegan protein powder and 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk, then pour it over the crust.
with plain dairy - free coconut milk yogurt from So Delicious (which is literally amazing), but you could also use plain dairy - free
cream cheese from Kite Hill or
Daiya!

Daiya recently launched its own brand of nondairy
cream cheese, which comes pretty close.
I like the
Daiya products I've had so far, but haven't used the
cream cheese yet.
