damage at high heat, keeps your style lasting, and doesn't make your hair feel sticky.

My oils of choice are Coconut and Olive, when choosing an oil to cook with you want an oil that will not be
damaged by
high cooking temperatures and Coconut oil can be used
at higher temperatures without
heat - induced
damage to the oil.

Light saute cooking with olive oil
at temperatures no
higher than 200 - 250F seem to be safe and minimally
damaging, but oven baking or
higher heat cooking on the stovetop with olive oil is not wise given that there are much hardier and less expensive fats to choose from like expeller pressed coconut oil or palm oil!
One study looked
at the effect of virgin coconut oil when supplemented in a diet
high in consumption of
heated vegetable oils, and how virgin coconut oil protected the liver and kidneys, and the other study looked
at how virgin coconut oil can reverse the free radical
damage done by cancer chemotherapy drugs.
Likewise, if your hair is
damaged, don't use the
highest heat setting — instead, test the temperature on the back of your hand to check it's
at a comfortable level.
(And, beside everything, some bulbs rated
at very
high lumens waste so much
heat that can actually
damage plastic headlights apparently)
