By changing the spring and
damper rates from taut and tough to supple and stable, the Turbo's whole attitude to irritations like bumps, ridges, grooves, dips, and ripples has become more forgiving.

The front and rear suspension cradles have been strengthened, front
damper diameter has gone up
from 1.4 to 1.8 inches,
damper valving has been modified, the front and rear anti-roll bars are larger, and the spring
rates have been increased by about 27 percent.
On the chassis side, the spring
rates, Bilstein
dampers and anti-roll bars remain unchanged but the front Yokohama AO48 tyre has gone up
from 175 to 195 - section.
Significant revisions were also made to the suspension to improve the handling:
