Going loco for the coco Onto the sweetener side of things, if you've gotten ahead of yourself and scrolled down to the ingredients list (which might I add is only seven in total, most of which you probably have in your kitchen right now), you might have seen that I've used
dark coconut nectar instead of actual maple syrup.
Before serving, top with extra walnuts and drizzle with
dark coconut nectar, as I've done in the photos.

Homemade
dark chocolate peanut butter (or any nut butter) cups made with cocao butter, caoco powder and lightly sweetened with
coconut nectar.
For these
dark chocolate peanut butter cups, I opted for making my own homemade chocolate with three simple ingredients — cocao butter, cocao powder and
coconut nectar — after being inspired by Jessie (Faring Well) and Sarah (My New Roots).
I ran out of maple syrup so I had to sub about half the maple syrup out for
coconut nectar, which made them just a bit
darker than the picture, but very tasty nonetheless.
Sorry for my bad explanation I created the raw recipe by myself it was a
dark one with cacao butter, cacao powder, cashew nut sauce and
coconut nectar.
Coconut nectar is one of my favourite sweeteners, and here's a laundry list as to why: it's low GI (35), very affordable (even when buying organic), minimally refined, and has an amazing taste - try the light version for a honey replacement, and the
dark for a maple syrup type flavour.
Use more carob powder for a
darker sauce, or use more
Coconut Nectar for a lighter sauce.

nectar * 3/4 cup unsweetened cocnut milk * 1/3 cup olive oil * 2 tsp vanilla extract
I have used
coconut nectar instead of ghee and it comes out very
dark, but still delicious.
