I just saw a recipe this morning that added peanut butter to
date caramel which would've been amazing on these.

dates, coconut oil and a touch of milk.
This particular recipe,
which I'm calling Vegan
Date Caramel Apple Sauce, has a Fally feel to it, with apples blended in.
The result is lusciously sweet
caramel that's full of the health benefits of dried
dates with just a little of the very fall - like flavor of the
dates themselves —
which pairs perfectly with the pumpkin in these muffins.
Plus, if you can get your hands on
caramel - like Barhi
dates,
which won't be in season for long, they will make these confections all the more special.
Granulated sugar in the original recipe has been replaced with Golden
Date Syrup (Golden
Date Juice Concentrate),
which gives the refined sugar free marmalade a darker colour, richer flavour and adds a hint of
caramel note.

which adds such a layer of decadence to this dessert.
Instead, I whipped up a batch of my favorite
date caramel and mixed it in,
which ended up being a perfect swap for the usual molasses notes.
Dates are a magic ingredient in raw desserts, contributing a

which helps to bind everything together.
