IMMA's 2010 Programme The most extensive showing to
date of the Museum's own Collection; an exhibition based on the work of American composer Morton Feldman and the many celebrated artists in his circle; a series of displays marking important new donations to
IMMA, and a special exhibition promoting engagement with the visual arts by those with disabilities are all part of a busy and wide - ranging programme for 2010 at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, announced today (Wednesday 27 January) by the Minister of State with responsibility for the Arts, Dr Martin Mansergh, TD.
The works in this retrospective exhibition at
IMMA date from 1955 to 1975 and are grouped around partial reconstructions of her solo exhibitions, as well as thematic presentations of concerns in her work such as the body, portraits, architecture and abstraction.
Although lacking a representative photographic collection,
IMMA has to
date sought to compensate for this by presenting a number of significant photographic exhibitions drawn from external sources.

It presents the work of many of the 20th century's leading creative minds and constitutes the most extensive showing to
date from
IMMA's own Collection.
The exhibition features a large number of Craig - Martin's highly - individual paintings, ranging from Painting and Picturing, created in 1978, to Eye of the Storm,
dating from 2003, which was shown to great popular and critical acclaim in an exhibition of the same name from
IMMA's Collection in 2005.
A pioneer of Conceptual Art and author of the renowned Inside the White Cube, Brian O'Doherty / Patrick Ireland's enduring obsession with themes of language, perception and identity are represented by a selection of his works from the
IMMA Collection
dating from 1954 onwards and include a major new Rope Drawing which is a recent gift to
IMMA by the artist, entitled: The doors to good and evil and the windows to heaven - Christina's World, Rope Drawing No # 124, 2015.
