Unless you want to spend your entire
day baking this cake, break it up like I did, in this order:

Tomorrow is a
day of rest (sort of: it's my eldest son's milestone birthday and I am switching gears and making birthday
cake and a special dinner) and then Monday morning, after I go swimming, I'll be
baking with a friend or two... yet more hamantashen.
One of the highlights will be the freshly
baked cake of the
day, think black forest gateaux (Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte), traditional sacher torte or
baked cheesecake.
I love pound
cake too — first time I ever made one was for my final in
Baking 1 — I'd missed class the
day we made them and so wasn't quite sure I was doing it right for the final.
This
cake always turns out moist (even more moist the next
day), the only thing I can think of if it turned out dry and no taste is that your oven may run hot and it was over
baked.
You can prepare the chocolate lava
cakes up until
baking stage and keep it well wrapped in the fridge for up to 2 - 3
days.

To trace the palm oil used in each ingredient, from plantation to processing plant, and to ensure it was kept segregated at every stage, would be a logistical nightmare, prohibitively expensive... well, it's simply not possible right now if manufacturers want to get their
cakes mixed and
baked and sold in time for Christmas
day.
If it only takes like 2 hrs to make,
bake and cool would I still be able to eat an entire blueberry
cake donut the same
day?
So I will
bake red velvet
cake on father's
day.

bake cakes, cupcakes and cookies that taste as phenomenal as they look.

This year I decided to prepare in advance for Easter and planned to
bake a simple lemon
cake to welcome the first
day of spring in a few
days time.
So this
cake is one of the recipes I
baked within the past few
days, and boy was this
cake so good it was gone literally within two
days between me, Bethany, and my parents.

cake for my birthday just the other
day (the 12th!)
If you absolutely need to make ahead,
bake the
cakes earlier in the
day, cool and cover.
They not only release moisture during
baking but their moisture makes the
cake stay fresh for
days after the
cake is
baked (that if the
cake lasts that long!)
Perfect for spring but also for Mother's
Day are
Baking With Granny's Spring Fairy
Cakes.
Anyhow, she would
bake the rum
cake in this vintage bundt pan that I still have and use to this very
day.
The problem with bundt
cakes, as much as I love them, is that they take forever and a
day to
bake and you always have that anxiety if the
cake will come out cleanly from the pan or not.
In fact, my family devoured this coffee
cake right away — two
days after
baking, to be exact!
Then the next
day I just
bake the
cake, and while the
cake is
baking I whip the chocolate cream and make chocolate crumbs and truffles.
We have made sugar decorations in advance, also
baked sponge layers the night before and then on the
day (when she was at school) only assembled the
cake.
PS — Having sampled a little more on
day two, I have come to the conclusion that this is one of the most delicious
cakes I've
baked in a long time.

cake if I can't get it out, and with a removable base, there won't be condensation problems... Hmm..
