What struck me most
in the report were its testimonials from teachers living the realities of
blended learning
day - to -
day in their
classrooms.
Another impact of the
blended training program is that the two -
day workshop still retains the valued benefits of a traditional
classroom experience (i.e. getting to know other managers, practicing skills
in a realistic context, etc.).
Now into my second year as a
blended - learning history teacher — meaning I have a group of students
in my
classroom every other
day, assigning them to work online, at home, on the «off»
days — I've found the scary parts less frightening than most fear, with far greater benefits than I expected....
By giving students flexibility over their own learning, we don't have to spend our whole
day in the
classroom and utilizing
blended learning allows us to use a greater variety of instructional techniques.
