The American president joined 150 world leaders for the opening ceremony on the first
day of the UN
climate conference in Paris where thousands of delegates hope to agree legally binding
international agreements to prevent catastrophic
climate change.
Well of course I would write a headline like that having just spent the last three
days in Chicago at the Heartland Institute's 4th
International Conference on
Climate Change.
One
day before the scheduled conclusion of the
international climate talks in Warsaw, hundreds of
climate activists — including Friends of the Earth — have walked out in protest at the lack of ambition at the talks, and in solidarity with people affected by
climate change.
