Obviously,
the days of starting a blog and having people flock to your door right away are long gone, if they ever existed, but despite the talk of the death of the blogosphere, Eric's experience (and mine with e.politics, frankly) demonstrates that you can still get your ideas out if you work at it.

Frind's account
of his own exploits, published on his
blog in 2006 under the title «How I
Started a Dating Empire,» says a lot about his worldview: «I spent every waking minute when I wasn't at my
day job reading, studying, and learning.
When I
started my
blog, I wrote three posts a
day for most
of a year without making a dime before I asked for help.
But after a couple
of days, I
started noticing that the side
of my
blog had a
blog counter.
When it got to the point that Beauchesne fell asleep wondering what outfit she'd wear to the gym the next
day, she decided to
start a
blog called Lululemon Addict to keep track
of the new merchandise being released in Lululemon stores.
But within a few
days, you had written
blog posts,
started an Amazon petition, coined the term «Vaginagate», created «Team Vagina» t - shirts, called a bunch
of Christian bookstores, and pleaded with me to stick to my guns and keep the word «vagina» in the book.
Within a few
days, hundreds
of blog posts, signs, and tweets
started pouring in, and I was overwhelmed by the creativity and insight brought to this conversation from Christians from around the world.
A lot
of this, I guess, is intended to cash in on all the new bloggers that
start a
blog every single
day.

blog.)
