What's not in this article like
the dead areas of the oceans, the clear cut rain forests, the overcrowded cities, the CO2 infected atmosphere, the deteriorated ozone, the polluted rivers, the melting permafrost, and more and more just might make one wonder whether it is possible to convert all this to Paradise, or is Paradise just being lost forever.

The plankton that feed on the dust's minerals can bloom significantly, providing food for other
ocean creatures, but an overgrown bloom can consume much
of the dissolved oxygen in an
area and create an anoxic
dead zone.
Gage and Gordon take issue with claims by Rudall Blanchard Associates, Shell's consultants, that the deep
ocean «supports a small range
of species»; that deep - water fishing does not take place in the
area; and that water currents at the site are what atmospheric meteorologists would call «
dead calm».
The patch is in an
area of ocean between California and Hawaii called the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre — a kind
of swirling
dead end for Pacific currents, which have been depositing floating plastic trash there for decades.
Areas of the coastal
ocean where oxygen is low or absent in bottom waters, so - called
dead zones, are expanding worldwide (Diaz and Rosenberg, 2008).
The thing is that for the World
Ocean to rise any significant amount then it would need all the frozen fresh water to melt, and even though the fear mongers keep saying this is happening, its not, JP Lovecraft was the flag bearer
of the CAGW movement, he coined the word Gaia, he said that mankind would only be able to breed in those
areas of the warm arctic and Antarctic, the rest
of us would be
dead, he said that and many other scaremongering things but close to the end
of his life then he recanted it all, he said that «enough time had passed had passed for the models to be proved correct, and that all that the passing
of time had proved was that all the models were not correct» me I think that he did not want to die with his horses still hitched to this faulty wagon.
But other elements could potentially also contribute to a collapse: an accelerating extinction
of animal and plant populations and species, which could lead to a loss
of ecosystem services essential for human survival; land degradation and land - use change; a pole - to - pole spread
of toxic compounds;
ocean acidification and eutrophication (
dead zones); worsening
of some aspects
of the epidemiological environment (factors that make human populations susceptible to infectious diseases); depletion
of increasingly scarce resources [6,7], including especially groundwater, which is being overexploited in many key agricultural
areas [8]; and resource wars [9].
Whereas some coastal
dead zones could be recovered by control
of fertilizer usage, expanded low - oxygen
areas caused by global warming will remain for thousands
of years to come, adversely affecting fisheries and
ocean ecosystems far into the future.
The worst - case result is that mean
ocean oxygen concentration falls to a low
of about 68 %
of pre-industrial levels in the next few millennia, while low - oxygen «
dead zones» — which don't support fish or many other marine animals such as crabs and clams — spread nearly six-fold to cover 12.8 %
of the sea surface
area.
There are many issues with measurement
of pH in
ocean waters, some physical, like depth and
area coverage, some chemical like what pH is, some a mixture like whether
dead / live biota should be considered, or filtered out with how fine a filter.
