game that serves as a friendly reminder of the good ol' Celebrity
Deathmatch days on MTV, all
for a discounted price of $ 19.99, then CD just might be
for you.
The
game was successfully approved on Steam Greenlight, and features three gameplay modes, including Opposing Kingdoms, where players are the champion
for one kingdom, and must completely wipe the other kingdom's champions out, a standard
Deathmatch mode and a Party Survival Mode in which all members of a team must be killed to win.
The
game is broken down into six different modes, some with a subset of modes,
for example
Deathmatch mode has Team
Deathmatch.
Unfortunately while the
game is fun in co-op, the same can not be said
for its multiplayer mode that offers a variety of different modes including the classic
Deathmatch and Dominion but also has some new additions like Distance King and No Cross mode.
There are other modes as well including Hold the rainbow where a player needs to hold a rainbow power up that collects coins as the player moves, making this an epic
game of cat and mouse, Mega coins in which players have to fight over larger coins
for points or just your plain old garden variety
deathmatch.
Once the
game is wrapped up, you can either invite some friends around
for a
deathmatch, or set up your own AI opponents to fight.
As an added bonus, there will be special Warzones where you can play just those new maps, and compete on global leaderboards
for Capture and Team
Deathmatch game modes.
While the past two
games introduced — then refined — multiplayer
for the series, the new additions of domination and Wolfpack modes add even more satisfying team - ups to the standard
deathmatch and team
deathmatch of past
games.
In this mode you can join friends and take on the different
game modes that can be found on many multiplayer shooters, like Team Play, Free -
For - All,
Deathmatch, among others.
The main two modes of play in the
game are Team
Deathmatch and CTF, and levels are typically quite large which allows
for proper use of the jet - pack.

The first thing you are bound to notice when you dive into Avatar
Deathmatch is that the small town that makes up the
game's sole level (
for now, the developer does state an intent to add another level to the
game soon), is that this little town square really does look like the world our avatars would live in.
Voice chat is supported, and recommended highly
for team
games — it's not necessary
for standard
deathmatch at all but the screams and laughs from running folk over or sniping from afar really make the
game.
There are plenty of
game types to choose from: Duel, Duel Arena, Free
for All, Team
Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Race, Clan Arena.
For example, the clowns may start off the
game with a
deathmatch, while the skulls could have an endurance challenge in the first level.

One thing that would have made this a much more prominent
game option would have been using the large areas seen in Adventure mode
for the
deathmatches, as well as including things like health bars and a kill feed.
Clash is pretty much your straight team
deathmatch (6v6), skirmish is a 3v3
game type whereby you can revive each other, and rumble is a free
for all.
Especially if you're looking
for any sort of
game beyond vanilla
deathmatch.
Team
Deathmatch, Control, and Distance King (a free -
for - all mode wherein the player with the most kill distance wins) can be a good bit of fun in their own right, but the sheer size of the maps in multiplayer means that sniping is going to be of paramount importance if your team is going to win, and No Cross emphasizes this fact better than any other mode in the
game.
The local play is fun but is always better if you can get some friends around as there is the possibility of making up your own fun matches with activities such as hide and seek (This mode doesn't exist in the
game, it is one I made up
for the Team
Deathmatch mode when you have friends).
It is a team based
game, where you will fight in cooperation with your team members
for different objectives depending on the type of the map where the battlefield will take place:
Deathmatch, objectives captures, domination etc..
There's a free -
for - all capture the grail mode, a team capture the flag, team control points in domination, team
deathmatch, last man standing, soccer, king of the hill, a base destruction
game called Crystal Rush, and my personal favorite: Juggernaut.
I considered it such an impressive feat to be such a liability in
Deathmatches that I left that
game mode behind, quickly finding a place
for myself in the comfortable confines of modes like Domination, Uplink, and the newly released Escort.
Game Mode Trio: Eliminate all opponents in Team
Deathmatch, collect the most diamonds in Diamond Rush, or stay in the designated area
for as long as possible in Crazy King.
Game modes are broken down as well, and as of the time of launch a decent amount of both normal and hardcore gametypes exist, which is fantastic news
for those actually interested in playing more than just regular team
deathmatch.
With 19 maps and a choice of multiple characters from all over the franchise you'll be able to fight in 4v4 teams in either social or competitive
game modes including: classic Warzone, Execution, King of the Hill and new modes Team
Deathmatch and 2v2 Gnashers, all on dedicated servers
for all regions.
The
game comprises of a 50 mission single - player (or two - player online co-op) campaign and a separate online multiplayer experience
for up to 8 players with a variety of
game modes including
Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.
It's filled with all sorts of different
game types
for players to explore, from Control, which is unlocked at the beginning, to others like Clash or Rumble, which are new names
for classics like Team
Deathmatch or Free -
for - All.
That or they're all open - world
games with super powered heroes traversing them in exciting ways, making them ideal competitors
for the first Celebratory
Deathmatch!
