The Arenas pack introduces 24 new
deathmatch maps, which we don't need to remind you how awesome that is for multiplayer.
I understand
the deathmatch maps are small, but is it intentionally spawning me in gunfire?
Along with the new skins and a few returning old ones, Overwatch just got a new
deathmatch map called Petra that looks gorgeous.
The «Grand Bazaar» Team
Deathmatch map features many destructible elements of the environment, adding a new emphasis on fast - paced action.
The three new maps are «Airbase» Team
Deathmatch map, which takes place around a parked aircraft, «Quarry» Capture map, which contains sweeping sandstorms, and the «Streetwars» Team
Deathmatch map, which takes places within an urban jungle of abandoned buildings.
Overwatch will be a healthy 24 month old toddler next Tuesday, 22 May 2018 and Blizzard is putting a new event with a new
Deathmatch map and a pile of new cosmetic items for sale.
Petra is a new
Deathmatch map that will debut during the anniversary celebration and it will only be available for this game mode.

Deathmatch map, Petra!
In addition to all of the above - mentioned content, the Anniversary event will also introduce a brand new
deathmatch map, in form of Petra and a brand new, previously Twitch Prime exclusive, Legendary Loot Box, for all users who will log - in during the event.
On top the new
Deathmatch map, players will be invited to test their skill in a new competitive mode, which includes its own ranking, competitive points and leaderboards.
Items, brawls, and skins from past seasons are indeed returning, alongside 50 new cosmetic items and a new
Deathmatch map, Petra.

Deathmatch map, Petra, and greater than 50 new beauty gadgets to gather.
Not exact matches
Other
maps will be in rotation for these modes, each receiving small tweaks to make them more
deathmatch - friendly.
There will be six or seven game modes at launch, including Kings (defend the base), Crazy Kings (defend the base, except the base moves around the
map), Team
Deathmatch (as it says on the tin), and Artifact, which is almost a bit of a hot potato mode.
Leprechaun Hunt Moshpit takes the game's traditional Team
Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed and Domination modes and hides an elusive leprechaun somewhere on the
map.
In addition to a host of fresh content (sweet new skins, a
Deathmatch Competitive Mode and
map, and most importantly, dancing emotes for Doomfist, Moira, and Brigitte), the event also brings back all the cosmetics and special brawls from past seasonal events.
Team
Deathmatch is self - explanatory of course, tossing you into one of a small handful of
maps as the teams compete for the first to 75 points.
As an added bonus, there will be special Warzones where you can play just those new
maps, and compete on global leaderboards for Capture and Team
Deathmatch game modes.
These game modes include elements such as Team
Deathmatch and Survivor with around five
maps that these matches can be played on.
These include Siege (an Objective point
map that requires escorting a Payload and controlling a Capture Point); Payload (which involves two rounds of pushing and defending the cart) and Survival (effectively
deathmatch).
Being a demo, there will only be three multiplayer
maps you can play through in either Team
Deathmatch, Domination, or Searth & Rescue:
As always, the
maps play a huge role in shaping the pace and tactical opportunities in both
deathmatch and team - based modes, and while the assortment of
maps are visually somewhat underwhelming, the folks at Infinity Ward consistently create interesting spaces in which to play.
Players also have three new modes to look forward to, consisting of Team
Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Domination, which can be played across three different
maps.
It's neat seeing the way fans are getting clever with the format, but Far Cry 5's
map editor would benefit from a built - in Battle Royale mode packaged adjacent to the existing
Deathmatch and Team
Deathmatch modes.
The multiplayer flavoured action features a range of traditional game - types, from capture the flag to team
deathmatch, while the finished game will also include a singleplayer adventure mode, and the ability to create and share your own
maps.
There are only a handful of
maps, three modes (
Deathmatch, Team
Deathmatch and Survival) and the perks are unlockable weapons and mods from the campaign.
Alongside Team
Deathmatch, Hellfire will bring with it Co-op and a selection of new
maps and mech variants.
Dull
maps aside the game does at least offer a fair modes to pick from, ranging from the standard
Deathmatch options to objective based modes to keep things interesting.
The multiplayer demo features a
deathmatch mode, which pretty much is exactly what you would expect of it, and a conquest mode, which will have players take over a few control nodes to effectively conquer the
map.
It's really a shame that there's no straight Team
Deathmatch mode on offer here, but the modes presented are still great fun to play, and there's just enough
maps to stop if from getting old too quickly, although a few more would have been welcome to keep things interesting.
The Closed Beta will give players a taste of the game's Team
Deathmatch and Warpath multiplayer modes, and will include two
maps.
The Beta will start off with just the Team
Deathmatch game mode, and four
maps, but once the full public get underway you can look forward to King of the Hill and Capture the Leader being added to the playlists.
A vast mountain range is the backdrop for the dogfights that ensue between British and German pilots; this
map is limited to a basic team
deathmatch format, using only the Fighter plane and its variants.
There's also just four modes to choose from to play on these
maps, with the usual Team
Deathmatch, Conquest and Capture the Flag on offer alongside a Headhunter mode, which has you picking up Sparks from slain enemies with the goal being for your team accumulate 30 of them to win.
Currently modes are limited to Death Match, Team
Deathmatch and Capture the Flag across a total of three
maps.
More notably, they've introduced a new Capture the Flag mode, a new
map for Team
Deathmatch, and a sweet new logo for the game!
The demo includes one
map and three game modes, (1) capture the flag, (2)
deathmatch and (3) combined.
Like with all LMGs, use it in open
maps in multiplayer modes like Team
Deathmatch, Free - For - All, Hardpoint or Search And Destroy.
There are ten
maps for undead and flora to duke it out and three modes for teams to participate in; Team Vanquish (which is Team
Deathmatch), Gardens and Graveyards and Garden Ops.

Deathmatch now work like regular
Deathmatch (random points throughout the
map) which intensifies gameplay and minimizes spawn camping / trapping.
Competitive play has your traditional team
deathmatch, king of the hill,
deathmatch, and turf war where you and another team battle for control over various zones of the
map.
There is also a new
map coming to the game, designed with these
deathmatch modes in mind.

Opening and closing doors in particular can be almost completely ignored if you aren't playing an objective - based team game, since there's no real need to restrict the enemy team from an area of a
map in a
deathmatch mode.
This mode is a bit better than
deathmatch in that at least it focuses the action at a few key points on the
map.
The Arcade mode currently offers Team
Deathmatch, Domination and Capture the Flag
maps, which players are placed in at random.
All of the same content offered in the recent closed beta is available this time around including Team
Deathmatch and Warpath game modes playable on the multiplayer
maps Heatwave and Infernal.
Considering that Blizzard are introducing a competitive
Deathmatch mode with its own leaderboards, the anniversary event may be the prime time to hop in and test the new
map.
