I personally enjoyed
the Deathmatch mode as it allows you to really duke it out with others using the light saber, which is quite enjoyable.
There is a team
deathmatch mode as well as small - scale and large - scale objective modes, an exciting heroes vs. villains mode, and an action - packed objective - based starfighting mode.
Not exact matches
There's also some fun multiplayer
modes like soul harvest which requires players to collect souls to freeze tag which basically freezes the player until they are revived to more traditional
modes such
as warpath (aka King of the Hill) and team
deathmatch.
Other
modes are more familiar, including team
deathmatch and domination, but those don't feel
as much like Battlefield
as they do every other shooter out there.
There will be six or seven game
modes at launch, including Kings (defend the base), Crazy Kings (defend the base, except the base moves around the map), Team
Deathmatch (
as it says on the tin), and Artifact, which is almost a bit of a hot potato
mode.
Multiplayer
modes Deathmatch, Domination, and Strongholds offer some additional content after completing the campaign,
as does the addition of Blitz, a new card deck - based multiplayer
mode.
Even if one year's Call of Duty sucks, plenty of fans (such
as myself) will still gobble it up because we all know that the game's
deathmatch and zombie - killing
modes will still be awesome.
There are other
modes as well including Hold the rainbow where a player needs to hold a rainbow power up that collects coins
as the player moves, making this an epic game of cat and mouse, Mega coins in which players have to fight over larger coins for points or just your plain old garden variety
deathmatch.
Game
modes such
as Capture the Flag and Gridiron don't exactly feel
as real - time
as the Search and Destroy or Team
Deathmatch.
As an added bonus, there will be special Warzones where you can play just those new maps, and compete on global leaderboards for Capture and Team
Deathmatch game

These game
modes include elements such
as Team
Deathmatch and Survivor with around five maps that these matches can be played on.
The multiplayer is nothing to sneeze at by the way
as there is a lot of fun to be had there too, whether you play in the mercenary warfare
mode which is a free for all of death or the Guerilla warfare
mode which is head to head in a team based
deathmatch setting with the ISA and the Helghast going at it.
The normal run through will have you playing multiplayer
modes such
as deathmatch, elimination, capture the point (king of the hill), cube
mode (keep away) and horde
mode.There is also a team version of some of these game
modes.
Successfully pulling one of your friends off a cliff during a
Deathmatch is almost
as satisfying
as the first time you experience that epic train segment in the core game; and the co-op
mode that pits three companions against waves of enemies is one of the most addictive of its kind.
As always, the maps play a huge role in shaping the pace and tactical opportunities in both
deathmatch and team - based
modes, and while the assortment of maps are visually somewhat underwhelming, the folks at Infinity Ward consistently create interesting spaces in which to play.
Multiplayer play is on offer, allowing for players to take the campaign or instant missions on in co-op
mode,
as well
as providing straightforward
deathmatch for single pilots or teams.
Ruffian are also beefing up the multiplayer aspect's of Crackdown by throwing in a 4 player co-op and a 16 player multiplayer that will include the standard
Deathmatch game's and other game
mode's such
as Rocket Tag.
In addition to the classic
Deathmatch mode, the game also includes robust new single and multiplayer
modes such
as Rope Race, Fort, Puzzle and Campaign
modes that challenge players to use new strategies and teamwork to defeat their enemies.
In fact it seems likely that it'll be some sort of co-operative
mode, considering OXM said, «and info on who you'll be playing
as,» suggesting to me a named character with an actual story, which in turn suggests a co-operative character of some sort rather than a generic
Deathmatch character designed to be killed over and over and over and over.
You can also take part in the fairly standard game
modes such
as Deathmatches etc which are all fun affairs.
We actually took this element in Verdun and turned them into an asset, such
as the hard - core «Rifle
Deathmatch»
mode which is a no - nonsense game
mode with just these weapons which is kind of a change from the «kill streak» - craze we have seen in recent years.

I would have liked to have seen some form of competitive multiplayer from the PS4 version that would have included such game
modes as deathmatch, team

modes, while set on the full - scale destructible environments found within each of the procedurally generated environments from the single player and co-op
modes with the progressive upgrades system, customisable loadout and support for two to four players.

as there is the possibility of making up your own fun matches with activities such
as hide and seek (This
mode doesn't exist in the game, it is one I made up for the Team
Deathmatch mode when you have friends).
Rebellion has done right by gamers by adding run - of - the - mill online
modes such
as Deathmatch & Team
Deathmatch.
Unfortunately,
as is the case with most shooters that don't somehow guide players into different game
modes, it seems like the Twisted Metal community is clustering around the less interesting
deathmatch games, which will leave the team based games to languish and wither.
